Help us change a life.
The economy is impacting our kids and families, and your support is needed now more than ever.
- Kids are hungry—More kids are coming to the Club hungry. Staff are scrambling to find filling meals that won’t break their budget.
- Families are in need—Many parents face evictions, layoffs, and overwhelming financial stress. Kids in the Clubs are exhibiting signs of these stresses.
- Families are finding other child care unaffordable - Our Clubs are seeing an influx of new members because our drop-in programs are only $40 a year. Despite these low costs, more parents are asking for scholarships.
The Redmond/Sammamish Boys & Girls Club depends on generous individual gifts, fundraising events, and foundation support to help us reach almost 3000 youth each year. The money we raise allows us to keep our services affordable and even free to high-need families. Here are some of the ways your gift can make a difference in the life of a child…
- Families pay $36 a year for a membership to our Club, but it costs us $500 to serve a single child for a year.
- We provide scholarships for kids from low-income families and families going through hard times, allowing them to attend summer camps, child care, athletics, and other programming. Each scholarship we provide costs us an average of $250.
- In 2007, more than $40,000 in scholarships was granted to kids in the Redmond/Sammamish community and beyond.
With your support, we will continue to ensure that no child is ever turned away.
